I ordered two of them. Both were damaged in shipping (UPS), but I was able to repair them okay. Also, as others have mentioned, the starter holes for the shelf supports were not aligned correctly. I just set the supports where they should be to insure the shelf is level. Assembly took about 15 minutes each.

They were absolutely fine given the price I paid for them.

I have to agree with reviews below – the holes to attach the shelfs do not line up at all and you have to drill your own holes, and it does not stand level. But, it was less than $60, so I can’t really complain. I didn’t experience ay defects with the paint and wood though

It has been flat on my living room floor for 2 weeks. The pre-drilled holes on one shelf are way off and I haven’t had time or inclination to fix. One of the holes for a peg was much too small: however, it was easy to fix by shaving down a peg. I think when it said foldable, I was thinking it would arrive folded and ready to go like another product that I bought from Costco.

I am still attempting to get the top shelf installed – the screw holes are so far off I will have to get a drill to make new ones – I’ve been at this for over an hour and I am not a novice at assembly required —there are scratches and nicks and an altogether waste of money and my time. guess quality control not an issue for made in thailand products. I will do without before I purchase anymore of mass produced in foreign country items —

Maybe I didn’t read the description correctly or maybe it just wasn’t listed, but when this bookcase arrived – it was MUCH smaller and narrower than I had envisioned.

That said, I was very impressed with the quality of it and the way it folds neatly when not in use.

If you’re looking to use this for actual storage of books and documents (about 80 hardcover books)- keep looking, but if you’re looking for something decorative to display decorative little things and photo albums (about 8 albums per shelf) – this is perfect.
